I recommend to my clients to regulate their succession and property inheritance after death clearly and unambiguously while they are still alive. In this way, emotional inheritance disputes in the family are usually avoided. For this purpose, I advise my clients on the drafting of wills and inheritance and compulsory portion waiver agreements. If inheritance disputes arise because, for example, a will is disputed or gifts made during one’s lifetime have to be taken into account when assessing claims to a compulsory portion, I also represent clients in the procedural enforcement of their rights and claims. Insofar as probate is to be dealt with, I also act as executor for my clients.
